Video geolocation confirms GUR reports of attack on helicopters in Moscow region.

On Saturday, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published a message, which, among other things, claimed that 6 days ago, on July 21, in the Moscow region on the territory of the Mil and Kamov National Helicopter Center in the Moscow region, Mi-28 and Ka-226 helicopters, “used in the war against Ukraine were destroyed as a result of fire damage.” The Main Intelligence Directorate also published a video of eyewitnesses, which caught smoke allegedly rising from the territory of the plant.

Radio Liberty found a number of confirmations of the information contained in the GUR report. In particular, the original source of the video published by the Ukrainian special service was found: it was posted in the community “Overheard in Tomilino” on the social network “VKontakte” at 8.28 am on July 21 Moscow time. The author of the post wrote that he had heard explosions 5 minutes earlier, and that he saw explosions and fire on the territory of the enterprise.

The video can be geolocated as filmed in the Poultry Farm microdistrict in Tomilin, next to the Arbatsky shopping center, and the camera is indeed directed towards the helicopter plant.
