
Rheinmetall has received an order from the Ukrainian authorities to construct a plant for ammunition production in Ukraine, as announced by the German defense company’s press service. The order includes the complete technical equipment of the plant up to its commissioning, with an estimated cost in the range of hundreds of millions of euros.
Construction is set to begin shortly, with an expected completion timeline of a few years. Production of ammunition in Ukraine is anticipated to start within 24 months. Armin Papperger, CEO of Rheinmetall, stated, “We are putting our words into action, and together with our partner we will create a Ukrainian ammunition center. The order emphasizes trust in the expertise and production capabilities of Rheinmetall.”
