Zelenskyy: There’s no point in dialogue with Putin at present

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, states that at this stage there is no point in dialogue with Russian ruler Vladimir Putin as the latter does not want a diplomatic end to the war unleashed against Ukraine.

Quote: “As of today not just compromise but dialogue in general with Putin…is empty, pointless. He does not want to end the war in a diplomatic way. He seems to be ready from a diplomatic standpoint but [he wants Ukraine – ed.] to concede 30% of our land.

Details: Zelenskyy added that the operation in Russia’s Kursk Oblast “helped Ukraine a lot” to decrease active discussions around this topic.

Background: Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for Russian leader Vladimir Putin, stated that negotiations with Ukraine “lost their relevance”.
