Commenting on the strike on Poltava, the EU stressed that this is yet more deliberate bloodshed that proves Russia’s intention to continue its brutal war against Ukraine.
The statement highlighted that, over the past two and a half years, Russia has subjected the people of Ukraine to terror through its criminal war of aggression, conducting indiscriminate missile and drone attacks across the country, primarily targeting civilians.
“We share the grief of the families of the victims and stand by the Ukrainian people,” the statement emphasised.
