Satellite image shows that missile arsenal is intact after strike on Russia’s Volgograd Oblast

Radio Liberty has released a satellite image showing that the missile and artillery arsenal near the village of Kotluban in Volgograd Oblast in Russia was not struck.

Details: The satellite image from 29 September shows that a fire broke out near the arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation as a result of the strike with Ukrainian drones, but the blaze did not spread to the premises of the ammunition depot.

  • Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on the night of 28-29 September, Ukraine’s defence forces targeted the Russian depot for storing and modernising missile and artillery weaponry near the village of Kotluban, Volgograd Oblast, Russian Federation.
