Turkish FM decries useless int’l system not stopping Israeli genocide

A genocide is underway in Palestine and international system is deliberately not taking action to stop it, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Tuesday in the Turkish capital Ankara. “It is useless and hopeless,” he added. He criticized Israel abusing this inaction in his speech.

Fidan was speaking at a session of Future of Palestine conference organized by Türkiye’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party).

Speaking at the same event, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said international community failed to protect lives of innocent Palestinians. “Israel has committed and still committing war crimes in Gaza, West Bank and Lebanon. Why international law applicable in Ukraine is not applicable in Gaza?” he said.

Fidan said division over Russia-Ukraine conflict had an affinity on division on Palestine-Israel conflict and problem between north and south was deepening on approach to the conflict.
