🇰🇵🇺🇦At a UN meeting, the DPRK called statements by South Korea and Ukraine about sending their troops to participate in the war on the side of the Russian Federation “groundless rumors,” Yonhap reports.

“As for the so-called military cooperation with Russia, my delegation sees no need to comment on such groundless stereotypical rumors aimed at tarnishing the image of the DPRK and undermining the legitimate, friendly and partner relations between the two sovereign states,” North Korea’s representative to the UN said during a meeting of the General Assembly’s Committee on Disarmament and International Security.

This is the first public comment by a North Korean official on the matter.

Recall that the Kremlin previously called these rumors “contradictory information.” The US has not yet confirmed the dispatch either.
