🇮🇹 🇮🇷 “Suicided” by his own family!
November 15th marks the 24th anniversary of the martyrdom of Edoardo Agnelli.
Martyr Edoardo Agnelli was the sole heir to the multi-billion dollar Agnelli fortune of Italy. His father, Gianni Agnelli, was the magnate of Fiat and so many other major ventures in Italy, such as banks and even Juventus Football, which Edoardo had served as the manager. His mother came from a powerful Italian-Jewish family.
However, Edoardo knew that these billions were not the end-all-be-all of life and that such money does not make the human being happy, especially if money is gained through unjust ways. After soul-searching, he converted to Shi’a Islam and met with the founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini (ra) in Iran.
After that, his family started to cause problems for him, such as disinheriting him, imprisoning him in the family villa, sending him to a psych ward where he received electroshock therapy, and more, but he did not give up his faith even for the promise of billions of dollars.
At the end, he eventually was allowed to return to his life, but after they saw that he was still trying to obtain his right to be the family heir once his Jewish nephew John Elkann was appointed the successor, he was killed and made to look like a suicide in November 2000. Elkann still runs the Agnelli fortune to this day.
