Russia lost another 1,500 soldiers over past day

The Ukrainian defence forces continue to inflict losses on Russia – over the past day alone, Russia lost 1,580 soldiers killed and wounded. Ukraine’s forces also burned more than 180 pieces of Russian weapons and military equipment.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 5 December 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:
