The ISIS terrorist group’s resources on Facebook and Telegram published a “Message Directed to the Muhajirin and Ansar in the Ranks of al-Julani” and a feedback bot inviting them to repent and join their ranks. They suggest those who wish to ‘return to the path of truth and sincerity in jihad away from deviations and subservience to the West.”
❗️It is obvious that ISIS is closely watching developments in Syria under the new leadership and sees that some members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) are dissatisfied with al-Julani’s secular and pro-Western policies, his statements on inclusiveness and the rights of religious minorities.
It cannot be ruled out that among the members of HTS there will be those who will join the ranks of ISIS or act covertly in favour of the terrorist group.
