This project will transfer electricity from Turkmenistan to Pakistan, through the territory of Afghanistan.
This project, along with the near completed ‘CASA-1000’ hydropower project and the recently re-started ‘TAPI’ gas pipeline, seek to connect the energy grid of Central Asia to Pakistan, with Afghanistan using its location to become the regional energy hub and to obtain energy self-sufficiency.
