—❗️🇮🇷 NEW: ‘Everyone in the Supreme National Security Council agreed to carry out Operation True Promise-3, but Pezeshkian was the only person who opposed it’

Shortly after Israel’s attack on Iran in response to Operation True Promise-2 in October 2024, an important meeting was held with Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, which decides on matters of national security and big military decisions.

In this meeting, the opinion of the IRGC and the Supreme Leader’s representatives was that Iran should respond to the Israeli aggression by launching Operation True Promise-3. Even Pezeshkian’s own ministers agreed. However, the President refused, and insisted on not carrying out the attack.

This was confirmed in an interview with Ali Jannati, the former Minister of Islamic Guidance & son of Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, an influential cleric and former long-time Chairman of Iran’s ‘Assembly of Experts’.

Jannati, who is a Reformist and supporter of President Pezeshkian, also stated that if Dr. Saeed Jalili had won the election and been the President instead, True Promise-3 would have definitely been carried out.
