🇨🇾🇦🇿🇮🇷 – According to Cyprus’s largest newspaper, Phileleftheros, the man arrested by Cypriot Police on suspicion of ‘terrorism-related offenses and espionage’ is an Azerbaijani national linked to the IRGC.
The suspect reportedly arrived in Cyprus in April 2025 and had been gathering intelligence on a British Royal Air Force (RAF) military base on the island, as well as Cyprus’s own Andreas Papandreou Air Base. His arrest followed intelligence suggesting he was planning an attack.
