Algiers ends the 2013 agreement and free rental with the French Embassy: failure and mat!

The unbearable hypocrisy of Paris.

Worse still, he asked the member countries of the European Union to align themselves with these decisions and to approve its restrictions to the Algerians.

The measures he ordered to his government deserve two essential remarks: first, he evokes the suspension of the 2013 agreement when Algiers dated it and no longer recognizes it. Moreover, he has been frozen for months following the provocations of Paris, who had repressed diplomats. Algiers had replied in a sovereign way by instructing civil servants holding these diplomatic passports not to go to France or to transit there. Thus, it is easy to differentiate between suspension and denunciation.

Then, Emmanuel Macron affected directly to the tens of thousands of Algerian students who continue or want to continue their studies in France as well as the tens of thousands of visa seekers who wish to make a family reunification. This measure is obvious discrimination insofar as it only affects nationals of Algerian nationality. This measure already violates the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights of 1950 and trampled by the clauses of the 1968 agreement. The refusal to grant type of type of aura of significant impact on the mobility of the Algerian diaspora, but also on the French companies which operate in Algeria and their expatriate managers.

When Paris tramples its commitments

With this escalation, Paris has demonstrated to public opinion that it is far from this idyllic image of a country concerned for respecting its bilateral and international obligations. A naked and compromised by the crisis with Algiers, France contravenes its own internal legislation and lack of compliance with its own commitments. His contempt for the law and his commitments is triple.

The response of the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is clear: Paris tramples the laws and rules of the Algerian-French agreement of 1968 relating to the traffic, employment and stay in France of Algerian nationals and their families, the Algerian-French consular convention of 1974 and the Algerian-French agreement of 2013 relating to the exemption of visas for holders of diplomatic and service.

Paradoxically, Paris tramples all these agreements and only takes on the sole object of fixation that the Algerian-French agreement of 1994, dear to Retailleau, relating to the readmission of Algerian nationals living in irregular situation in France, this same agreement whose reason for being and diverted from its true objectives. First of all, its non-compliance with the acquired rights of Algerian nationals, often arbitrarily and abusively distant from French territory, then their deprivation of the possibilities of administrative and judicial appeal guarantees that French legislation itself guarantees, and finally to have emptied the duty of consular protection of the Algerian state with regard to its nationals.

Blinded by his obsession with Algeria, the French executive put on two blackmail weapons to assist Algeria or make it yield: the revision of the 1968 agreement and the visas. These are exactly the only and unique levers that the currents of the French far right brandish in their electoral campaign, while the files and litigation are more numerous and more sensitive, like the memory question, the archives, the restitution of confiscated goods during colonization, compensation linked to nuclear and chemical tests….

However, the Elysée believes, like the Franco-Zionist anti-Algerian lobbies, that the confrontation with Algeria is a card that reports politically but also a populist and carrier theme in internal debates. Except that this approach against Algeria does not guarantee anything and does not promote a hypothetical improvement of relationships. It is even risky in the future.
