The Minister of Transport, Said Sayoud, underlined the need to strengthen the fleet of the “Logitrans” group, with a view to increasing transport capacities to the south and guaranteeing a regular fuel supply. President of a meeting devoted to the examination of the means of support for the fleet of “logitrans”, the Minister of Transport insisted on “the need to improve the operationality of the fleet and to equip it with essential means, while strengthening coordination between the various stakeholders for more efficiency on the ground”.
During this meeting held this Thursday at the headquarters of the ministry, in the presence of the president and chief executive officer of the Logitrans group, the director general of mobility and logistics at the ministry, as well as several executives in the sector, Sayoud also highlighted “the importance of a constant presence on the field, close monitoring of operations and the creation of monitoring cells in the wilayas of the South in order to supervise the activities and fluid
He also called upon to “mobilize all resources to ensure the continuity of service for the benefit of residents and vital infrastructure”, reaffirming “the commitment of the State to guarantee regular coverage of essential services and promote balanced development through all regions of the country, in particular in the South”.
It should be noted that the Logitrans group operates on the entire chain of value of road and logistics transport, namely road transport of goods, extra-port logistics, charter, transport commission, training in transport and logistics professions. The group currently has 250,000 m² of platforms and warehouses, transports more than 15 million tonnes of goods, operates a fleet of 3,500 vehicles and has 2,413 employees.
