Support for the socioeconomic insertion of rural women and those living in the Saharan and border regions is at the heart of the priorities of the State in order to strengthen social cohesion and enhance all the living forces of the nation. This is indicated by the Minister of National Solidarity, the Family and the condition of the woman, Soraya Mouloudji, during her working and inspection visit to the wilaya of in Guezzam,
On this occasion, Ms. Mouloudji said that her services “work tirelessly to support rural and Saharan women in order to allow her to benefit from the various support programs set up by the State with a view to her economic and social integration, the promotion of the spirit of female entrepreneurship and the strengthening of her economic and social role”, said a statement from the ministry this Saturday.
Stressing that the housewife living in the border and Saharan regions was “at the head of these concerns”. Despite the particular geographical and climatic nature of these areas, she recalled that the Saharan woman played a decisive role in the creation of income-generating activities for herself and her family, thus contributing to local development.
By visiting the exhibitions devoted to female handicrafts of in Guezzam and Tin Zaouatine, Ms. Mouloudji noted that these initiatives were part of the policy of the ministry aimed at supporting women producing in the marketing of their achievements and finding effective mechanisms to make the creations of women at home, in particular those from Saharan areas, Access to the local market.
On this occasion, equipment intended for rural women were given in the municipalities of In Guezzam and Tin Zaouatine, in various fields, such as cooking, sewing, embroidery and leather work. These discounts are accompanied by the distribution of training certificates to women who have followed internships within the framework of an agreement concluded between the Ministry of National Solidarity and that of vocational training and education.
The Minister took this opportunity to invite local cells to “intensify awareness campaigns to better publicize the devices made available to women at home by the State”.
It is in this spirit that in Tin Zaouatine, Ms. Mouloudji noted the importance of supporting the housewife so that she can fully benefit from the national program for the economic integration of rural women, implemented by her department in coordination with the Ministry of the Economy of Knowledge, start-ups and microentreprises.
The purpose of this system is to encourage women living in rural, Saharan and border areas to create revenue-generating micro-enterprises, thanks in particular to reinforced proximity work to promote the different mechanisms of the State.
In addition, accompanied by the Wali of In Guezzam, Fayçal Amrouche, and local authorities, the minister kicked off a solidarity caravan and a medical caravan for the benefit of the nomadic populations of the town of Tin Zaouatine.
The solidarity caravan includes material aid, such as tents, covers, clothing, as well as specialized equipment for the elderly and people with disabilities, including manual and electric wheelchairs, as well as medical equipment for domestic use. In total, around 200 nomadic families have benefited.
The medical caravan, organized in coordination with the Health Department, mobilized general practitioners and specialists in internal medicine, ophthalmology and pediatrics, who were to make home visits for specialized consultations. A vaccination campaign against transmitted diseases was also launched on this occasion.
In addition, during this mission, the Minister also supervised the delivery of financial aid to several humanitarian and social associations in the commune of Tin Zaouatine. She stressed that this action reflected the commitment of her department to strengthen humanitarian action and support the most vulnerable categories. *
She wanted to recall that associations play an essential role by accompanying the efforts of the State for the care of children, women, the elderly and disabled people, thus embodying the values of solidarity that characterize Algerian society.
In addition, Mouloudji has given the award decisions within the framework of the high-intensity public utility work program for the benefit of ten craftsmen and small entrepreneurs. These projects will create nearly 100 temporary jobs and contribute to improving the living environment of the inhabitants. She clarified that at the national level, this system had recently enabled the launch of 892 projects, generating 8,833 temporary jobs, accompanied by complete social security coverage for the beneficiaries and their beneficiaries.
In the field of housing aid, she also presented decisions to allocate rural housing to five beneficiaries of the region, in the context of efforts to improve living conditions and guarantee decent housing to all citizens, including in the most distant areas.
