Trois morts et 48 blessés – Le Jeune Indépendant

Three dead and 48 injured Tel is the sad assessment of a serious traffic accident occurring on Monday at 7:50 am on the RN 27 connecting Constantine to Jijel. The drama occurred at the locality of Aïn El-Hamra, in the commune of Béni Hmidène, under the daïra of Zighoud Youcef, north of the East capital. A heavyweight and a line coach ensuring the Jijel-Ouargla link violently struck before finishing their race on the aisle.

The victims, aged 2 to 60, were evacuated by civil protection rescuers to three health structures: CHU Dr Benbadis, Didouche Mourad hospital and El Bir hospital, after receiving first aid. For this operation, the civil protection mobilized a dozen ambulances, two anti-fire trucks and sixty rescuers of different grades, under the supervision of the acting director of civil protection.

The Wali, accompanied by the Safety Commission and the Director of Health and the Population, has moved to the emergency services at Didouche Mourad Hospital and the Benbadis CHU in order to inquire about the state of the injured, to supervise their care and to ensure the means of support put in place.

The head of the Wilaya executive affirmed the mobilization of all human and material resources, doctors, paramedics, rescuers and security forces, to ensure optimal care of victims, with “particular attention to psychological support, especially for children,” he insisted.

Regarding the departure of the wounded after confirmation of their recovery, he instructed their transport to their homes is insured.
