About twenty individuals gathered late on the night of last Friday at the level of the seat of the APC of Ouargla.
Taking advantage of the darkness, the participants in this illegal crowd launched obscene slogans and insults against several Arab leaders, accusing them of having “sold” the city of Gaza (Palestine) in Israel. These people with no authorization have also tried to undermine public order and transform their action to a malicious protest.
This state of affairs was not appreciated by the leaders of several political parties and especially representatives of civil society in the wilaya of Ouargla. The latter did not fail to denounce this anarchic rally and the insults made against several Arab heads of state with which Algeria maintains relations of mutual respect and cooperation in various fields. “People who have gathered in front of the headquarters of the APC committed several offenses and serious overtaking. Under the pretext of supporting the Palestinian cause, individuals in, question took advantage of this anarchic rally to pay their venoms against the Arab leaders ”. Here we have given the declarations of Mr. Mohamed, member of representatives of Civil Society of Ouargla. Our interlocutor added that the Palestinian question has been supported for hundreds of years by the Algerian state and by the various Arab countries and nothing justifies the insults made against the heads of state of these countries. Several leaders of accredited political parties in Ouargla also denounced this anarchic crowd indicating that this state of fact only harms the image of our country which has always respected the opinions of other countries without any interference. “This handful of individuals challenged the authorities of the country who have prohibited any demonstration in the street and that such rallies should be held in large rooms reserved for demonstrations of political, cultural and sporting characters. Of course, these demonstrations should be the subject of authorizations issued by the local authorities. On this subject, the country’s authorities responded to twelve (12) political parties that have requested the organization of a grandiose demonstration last Friday in support of the Palestinian people. “Any manifestation should be held in rooms but only in public spaces covered by law. In a note signed by the secretary general of the ministry, Hamoud Jamaa, he was clearly said that any gathering must be held in the meeting rooms and spaces dedicated to the rallies, in accordance with law 89-28 of December 31, 1989 relating to meetings and public demonstrations. This legislation strictly supervises the methods of organization of demonstrations, especially in public places. To find out more about this, we have tried to join the Wali of Ouargla’s secretariat several times, the secretariat of the director of the cabinet but in vain. At the level of the General Secretariat, we were told that the Secretary General is on annual leave. It is the same for the chief of the daïra of Ouargla who despite our efforts we could not join him. “The chief of daïra is not in his office,” he replied by standard and the secretariat. The director of general regulation who also provides the interim of the secretary general of the wilaya, told us that his services have not issued this kind. During the rally run by these dozens of individuals, the same organizers promised to demonstrate on Friday August 15, 2025. “This is not the first time that these individuals have been trying to create disorder in the wilaya of Ouargla. The country’s authorities must open an investigation into this unauthorized crowd so that the sponsors are explained to justice, “said parties and civil society representatives. As a reminder, several suspicious parties known for their relentlessness against the country called through the networks, citizens to go out on the street. These incentives to demonstrate have wiped off the Algerian people and no demonstrations or incidents have taken place throughout the national territory.
