The regulars of Bosquet beach, in the commune of Hadjadj, east of Mostaganem, had, on Saturday, surprise to discover unusual visitors from the dolphins.
These are hot blood marine mammals that breathe air. These are highly intelligent, social and players animals that are found in all the waters of the world in the oceans, the estuaries, along the coasts and even in fresh water according to the specialists in fishery resources! The size of ocean dolphins varies from the smallest dolphin, that of Maui, to the largest known dolphin, or the orca or shoulder. Dolphins are extremely powerful. Some species can swim at a speed of up to 50 km/h and often dive at depths of up to 55 meters in search of fish and calmars, their favorite food. He was historically observed in the pertuis in a regular basis generally accompanied by young people in groups. These were probably large coastal type dolphins, residents locally. Today, the species still frequents the pertuis but it is large “oceanic” dolphins which only make incursions in more coastal areas. Dolphins contribute to the balance of our environment by feeding on other animals. Scientists also consider dolphins as an indicator of the health of our oceans. The dolphins communicate in different ways, in particular by incubators, rattling and whistles. All the dolphins have a unique whistle allowing them to recognize themselves with each other, which means that the whistles work very similar to human names.
