The Korea Embassy in Algeria pays tribute to the Algerian national team
Victorious Iyrc 2025
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Algeria organized on Monday in Algiers, a ceremony in honor of the Algerian national team which achieved an exceptional performance during the international competition of robotics and artificial intelligence for youth (Iyrc 2025), recently organized in the Republic of Korea. The young winners, their supervisors from the start-up New Gate Robot, as well as representatives of Algeria Venture, were present at this ceremony during which the remarkable exploits of Algerian Prodigies of robotics were welcomed.
On the occasion of this ceremony, the Korea Ambassador to Algeria, Mr. You Ki-Jun, recalled “the importance of this competition which embodies the creativity, vision and determination of young people in a field in full expansion”, while emphasizing “the strengthening of ties of cooperation between the two countries”.
He also “congratulated” the results obtained by the Algerian team, believing that they “reflect not only a technical excellence, but also a spirit of innovation shared by the two countries”.
As a reminder, during the IYRC 2025, held on August 5 and 6, the Algerian team distinguished itself by winning a gold medal for “Medicart”, an innovative medical robot project with computer vision, a silver medal for “Ecosort”, an intelligent waste sorting of waste and a bronze medal for “Smart Zoo” Based on the Internet of Objects.
