Inauguration de structures d’intérêt public  – Le Jeune Indépendant


On the occasion of the commemoration of the days of August 20, 1955 and August 20, 1956, structures of public interest was inaugurated this Wednesday in Tizi Ouzou. This day was also an opportunity to honor men and women who met iron against the French colonial army. They are Manguelti if Mohand-Amorane (Moudjahid), Intiyatenne Mohamed-Ramdane (Moudjahid) and Ourida Alyane (Moudjahida), widow of Chahid and daughter of Chahid.

The commemoration began with the meditation ceremony at the square of the martyrs of M’Douha with the deposit of a wreath of flowers, the observation of a minute of silence, the reading of Fatiha and the lifting of national colors. It was after this ceremony that the aforementioned were honored.

Subsequently, the secretary general of the wilaya, Miloud Fellahi, who was at the head of the delegation made up of the civil and military authorities having taken part in the commemoration ceremony, headed for the town of Timizart, where he inaugurated the local polyclinic after renovation work. The second destination of the delegation was the village of Sikh Oumedour, commune of Tizi Ouzou, where it was given the start of the work to carry out a versatile stadium. In the village of Boukhalfa, west of the town of Tizi Ouzou, Miloud Fellahi proceeded to the inauguration, after renovation work, of the stele erected in memory of Chouhada.

It should be noted that as part of the commemoration of these two historic days, the national organization of children of Chouhada, through its municipal office in Sidi-Namaâne, organized on August 16 a great meeting through which the war of national independence was revisited. The organizers of this demonstration also honored, on this occasion, the families of Chouhadas Ahmed Khellil, Saïd Ben Saâdi known as “Rouget” and Mohamed Bouassam. It should not be forgotten that the commune of Sidi-Namaâne, by its natural geographical position, was one of the bastions of the war of independence.
