Many projects and installations have been inaugurated at the level of the hydrocarbon production area in Tin-Fouyé-Tabenkort (TFT), in Illizi, by the Minister of State, Minister of Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies, Mohamed Arkab, the ministry said in a press release.

Arkab was at the head of an important delegation, made up of Sonatrach executives and the secretary general of the National Federation of Oil, Gas and Chemistry (FNTPGC). On the occasion of a working and inspection visit to the wilaya on Wednesday, he commissioned several projects under his sector, including a base of life for the benefit of workers in the regional directorate of In Amenas, relating to the activity of transport by pipeline, with a capacity of 126 workers. This infrastructure includes rooms, a canteen, leisure areas and other structures made to the standards in force, to ensure comfort and well-being for workers and improve their conditions. The delegation visited the regional directorate of the TFT production department, relating to the exploration and production activity, where it listened to an exhaustive technical presentation on the management and development of zones, as well as on the progress of production operations at the TFT field, which constitutes one of the strategic axes of the national hydrocarbon production system.

The field has 23 separation centers, four storage and shipping centers, an associated gas processing unit, a power plant, a power plant, two water production and injection centers, as well as vital structures, with a production capacity of 54,000 barrels/crude oil, and 5.2 million cubic meters of associated gas, including 2.4 million cubic meters/gas day intended for export. In this context, the company NAFTAL presented a presentation on the fuel distribution activity in the wilaya of Illizi, through five service stations and two aviation centers, in addition to diesel, unleaded petrol and sirgaz, which makes it possible to meet growing demand on petroleum products in the wilaya of Illizi, reported the ministry.

The delegation also inspected the gas processing unit associated with the TFT field, which is subject to periodic maintenance every three years, in order to increase its operational availability, with a gas processing capacity estimated at 4.4 million cubic meters per day.

The delegation then went to the Ain T’Sila gas development field in the Illizi basin, where it received detailed technical explanations on the gas treatment complex. On this occasion, the Minister inaugurated the gas treatment complex, comprising two channels with a total treatment capacity of 12 million cubic meters per day of gas, 1,800 tonnes per day of condensates, 1,600 tonnes per day of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), as well as an electricity production unit with a capacity of 125 megawatts and 355 km of gas pipelines. A new base of life in Ain T’Sila was also inaugurated with a reception capacity of 220 workers, carried out by the National Civil Engineering and Building (GCB).

The Minister also inaugurated an airport in TFT, said the ministry, saying that it is an additional milestone in the region’s energy and logistics infrastructure. This installation was designed according to modern standards to offer the best reception and guidance conditions and quality services to travelers, guaranteeing a comfortable and safe working environment, as it will help improve the mobility of workers, operators and partners, as well as to strengthen local development, it was said.
