Higher Tourism School: Top Departure for Registration

The procedure exclusively online.

A new calendar has just been revealed by the National School of Tourism (ENST). The latter announced the kick -off of registrations for the entrance exam to the 2025 promotion. The interested candidates will have from Monday August 25 to September 5 to submit their online file. This was indicated this Sunday a statement from the establishment.

In this regard, it has been specified that the registration procedure will be done exclusively via the digital platform, accessing the “candidacy” candidate space from the following link :: https://ens-tourisme.dz. Each applicant must inform their personal information to validate their registration.

However, access to this competition remains subject to specific conditions. Indeed, only candidates bringing together three essential criteria will be allowed to compete, still according to the same source.

In addition, candidates must have successfully completed the baccalaureate exam of 2025, or that of 2024 provided that they have not already registered at university, have an average admission equal to or greater than 11.5/20 and hold a baccalaureate in one of the following specialties: management and economy, experimental sciences, mathematics or mathematical techniques, or a foreign diploma recognized equivalent.

It is also a question of carrying out a national competition in two stages, including written tests (general culture, mathematics and foreign language) as well as an oral test before the jury.

They must also have an average of minimum intake of 11.5 out of 20. To find out more, the note of the baccalaureate fixed by ministerial circular (the note required) is available on the digital registration platform. Finally, it should be noted that the ENST pointed out that the meeting of these three conditions is compulsory for registration to be validated.

It should be recalled that the start of the 2024/2025 school year was marked by the enthusiasm of young people for the sector, with more than 1,800 applications recorded for the previous school year. The former minister of the sector had announced the upcoming creation of a new National School of Tourism in Tipasa, with a capacity of more than 500 educational places. This project, frozen since 2015, is considered essential for modernization and sustainable development of the national tourism sector.

Moreover, the Minister of Tourism and Crafts, Houria Meddahi, chaired, last March, a meeting aimed at reactivating the school construction project which, according to her, will meet national and international standards, and will be equipped with modern structures adapted to the training needs of young people aspiring to a career in tourism.

To materialize this project, a land of 11.86 hectares had been awarded to Tipasa in 2012, but the construction was never launched. The Minister thus ordered the preparation of a complete file justifying the lifting of the frost in order to submit it to the competent authorities. This future school aims to train a new generation of tourism professionals, capable of supporting the growth and modernization of the sector in Algeria.

For the year 2024/2025, 986 students underwent license training and 44 students were registered in Master, thus confirming ENST’s commitment to provide a coherent training offer with the needs of the national tourism sector.
