“Local authorities with work for a school year in the best conditions”

The Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Regional Planning, Mr. Brahim Merad, said yesterday Monday in Algiers, that local authorities were on foot to ensure a school year in the best conditions.
“In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the local authorities are at work to ensure a school year in the best conditions,” said Mr. Merad in a speech pronounced at the opening of the work of a coordination meeting with the Walis of the Republic, chaired by the Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, within the framework of preparing 2025-2026.
This meeting, which aims to “take stock of the progress of the preparations for this major national educational meeting”, is an opportunity to “recall that the public authorities ensure that our children are the best schooling conditions and to guarantee the teaching staff optimal working conditions”, stressed the minister, adding that “it is a priority that local authorities strive to concretize on the ground through the fields, close coordination with the various ministerial sectors concerned ”.
Regarding the start of the academic year, the Minister indicated that the preparation of this deadline “requires synergetic work allowing students to join their university establishments in all serenity”. He also said that this coordination meeting “also relates to the measures to be taken in anticipation of fall and winter, through a multidimensional proactive approach capable of protecting citizens and their goods from the risks linked to these two seasons, as well as the actions to be carried out to remedy the imbalances affecting the general living environment in the neighborhoods, cities and villages”.
