Algeria reaffirms its commitment to support the economic integration process

The Minister of Communication, Mohamed Meziane, put forward, the day before yesterday in Algiers, the role of Algeria in the process of economic integration on Sunday. Affirming that the organization of this strategic event in Algeria is a strong message that confirms our country’s commitment to supporting the African integration process, intensifying intra-African exchanges and promoting the African continental free trade area at the service of the interests of our peoples, sustainable development and common prosperity.
“Algeria is intended to be a link for the promotion of exchanges and integration between African countries and reaffirms its constant commitment to supporting the common African action and the process of economic integration, as the main vectors of sustainable development capable of opening up larger prospects for exchange and partnership, serving security and stability questions on the continent,” he said.
President of an information day on ” The challenges of the intra-African trade fair ”, Mohamed Meziane said that this edition of the IATF is not a simple economic and commercial space, but an intercultural meetings platform and an opportunity to give body to communication and the interaction between African peoples to common history.
“These peoples need, today more than ever, effective communication mechanisms and spaces where investors, journalists, innovators and decision-makers meet to throw bridges of understanding and partnership and build the bases of a common future,” he said.
Highlighting the importance of the role of African media, which he invited to redouble their efforts to reflect this wealth and this diversity and highlight the models of success which give hope and which show that Africa is able to shape its own future thanks to its children.
The accompaniment of this exceptional event, he continued, is at the heart of our priorities to ensure exhaustive and professional media coverage which is up to the economic issues carried by this fair and which highlights the true image of Algeria, that of a safe, open and attractive space for partnerships and investments.
Calling, on the occasion, journalists to support this major event with objectivity and professionalism, by highlighting the image of Algeria as a destination of choice for the organization of continental events and as a bridge of communication between the peoples of Africa. Finally, evoking the accreditations, the minister revealed that his services had received 1,100 requests made by journalists, technicians and even experts to cover and animate this important African event, in addition to 175 requests from the foreign press.
