Aïn Témouchent police have managed to dismantle two criminal networks specializing in drug trafficking and psychotropic drugs in the past two days. These separate operations have led to the arrest of eight people and to the seizure of more than 12,800 pregabalin type tablets, 172 grams of treated kif, as well as several white weapons and 624 units of alcoholic beverages. As part of this wrestling system, the Aïn Témouchent police services carried out two coupoing operations led to significant results. The first intervened yesterday when a brigade specializing in the fight against illicit drug trafficking managed to dismantle an organized criminal network. Three suspects were arrested and the police seized 12,600 hallucinogenic tablets of the pregabalin type, as well as two vehicles used for illicit activities.
One day earlier, the mobile brigade of the Beni SAF judicial police had distinguished itself during several interventions which led to the arrest of five individuals involved in drug trafficking and psychotropic drugs.
The police then got their hands on 172 grams of treated kif, 240 pregabalin type tablets and several white weapons. They also discovered a large quantity of 624 units of alcoholic beverages, immediately seized.
These results confirm the constant determination of the Aïn Témouchent police to protect citizens and firmly fight against all forms of organized crime, in particular the trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic drugs.
