Algeria’s ambition to make the 4th intra-African trade fair (IATF-2025), which opens today in Algiers, the most important and most ambitious edition, since its launch in 2018, is reflected in the exceptional means mobilized for its success, in line with the vision of President Abdelmadjid
Tebboune, registered in the continuity of the historical engagement of Algeria in favor of continental integration. It is, first of all, of offering participants (official delegations, exhibitors and professional visitors) optimal reception conditions, by implementing support and facilitation measures.
Yesterday, Wednesday, the day before the inauguration of the IATF-2025, the last retouching were being brought to the level of pavilions, stands and other spaces of the Fair against the background of an intense activity raised at the Palais des Expositions des Pins Maritime (Algiers) where the president of the African import-export bank (Afreximbank), Oramah Benedict, preparations. During his visit, Oramah Benedict learned of the various organizational and logistical means mobilized for the success of this continental economic meeting.
Yesterday, the former president of Nigeria, president of the Advisory Council of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), Olusegun Obasanjo, and the Prime Minister of Burundi, Nestor Ntahontuye, arrived at Houari-Boumediene International Airport in Algiers to participate in the IATF. The hosts of Algeria were welcomed by the President of the Council of the Nation, Azouz Nasri.
On the same day, senior African officials and personalities from the continent arrived at Houari-Boumediene international airport to take part in IATF-2025.
They were welcomed at the airport honor fair by the Minister of Foreign Trade and the Promotion of Exports, Kamel Rezig. It is the President of the Arab Republic of Democratic Sahrawi, Brahim Ghali; From the former President of the Republic of Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou, of the new elected president of the African import-export bank (Afreximbank), George Elombi, and the bank president of the bank, Oramah Benedict.
On Tuesday, the Minister of Foreign Trade and the Promotion of Exports also welcomed the vice-president of the Republic of Namibia, Ms. Lucia Witbooi, the Minister of State, Minister of Commerce, Supply and Consumption of the Republic of Congo, Claude Alphonse Nsilou, and the Minister of State for the cooperatives of the Republic of Uganda, Frederick NGOBI GUME. As a reminder, Monday, Kamel Rezig had welcomed the Chadian Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mathieu Guibolo Fanga. Kamel Rezig and the Minister of State, Minister of Commerce, Supply and Consumption of Congo, stressed the importance of this continental economic event, as a strategic space for the strengthening of intra-African partnerships, the exchange of expertise and economic experiences and the integration of the continent into the global economy.
This 4th edition will be organized at the Palais des Expositions (Pins Maritimes) and at the International Conference Center (CIC) “Abdellatif Rahal”, in view of the importance of this biennial event. Placed under the theme “A bridge to new opportunities”, this 4th edition will be marked by the participation of more than 2,000 exhibitors and delegations from 140 countries and will have to accommodate more than 35,000 professional visitors.
This edition should also be completed with the signing of important trade and investment agreements whose value would exceed $ 44 billion.
Organized by Algeria, the African Import-Export Bank (AFREXIMBANK), initiator of this fair, the African Union Commission and the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade area (ZLECAF), this 4th edition has aroused special attention from the highest authorities in the country who made sure to implicate all the parties concerned to ensure better organization of this event major.
Last April, during a meeting of the Council of Ministers, the President of the Republic had ordered the establishment of all the facilitations necessary for the participation of African partners in this economic event and all the measures and provisions capable of contributing to its success for the benefit of national and African economies.
