Célébration du Mawlid Ennabaoui Mise en garde contre l’usage des produits pyrotechniques

Celebration of the Mawlid ennabaoui warned against the use of pyrotechnic products

The Ministry of Health warned on Monday in a statement, against the dangers represented by the use of pyrotechnic products, in particular firecrackers, on the occasion of the celebration of the Mawlid Ennabaoui festival, arguing that these products represent “a real danger” and can “cause serious accidents”.
The ministry recalled, for this purpose, that “pyrotechnic products, such as firecrackers and fireworks represent a real danger and can cause serious accidents, endangering the lives of individuals and transforming the party into drama”.
In this sense, pyrotechnic products remain “responsible for fires and noise pollution, caused by the blast of firecrackers”, notes the same source, warning against “the impact of their strong and repeated noises on the physical and mental well-being of the neighbors, particularly the elderly, the patients, the pregnant women and the children”.
“The power of certain blanks damages the ears by leading to the deterioration of hearing, while the explosion of a firecracker in the hand can cause the loss of a few fingers and its projection into the eye can cause blindness,” added the ministry’s press release. Pyrotechnic products can also cause “extremely serious burns”, notes the same source, noting that “the burns of the 2nd and 3rd degrees leave scars and deform the face”. The press release also noted that “children and adolescents are the most affected by this type of accident”, urging their elders to show vigilance and to protect them.
