Tebboune and his Mozambican counterpart.
The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and his Mozambican counterpart, Daniel Francisco Chapo, presided, this Saturday in Algiers, an official ceremony for the signing of several cooperation agreements between the two countries.
This ceremony is part of the working visit carried out by the president of Mozambique in Algeria, on the sidelines of the 4e Edition of the intra-African trade fair (IATF 2025).
On this occasion, Algeria and Mozambique have signed an executive program in the fields of culture and the arts for the period 2025-2028, as well as a cooperation protocol between the national radios of the two countries. An agreement in the information and communication sector has also been initialed.
The two parties also concluded a cooperation agreement in the field of higher education and scientific research, as well as an agreement in the field of security and public order. Finally, a memorandum of agreement on bilateral political consultations has been signed, thus strengthening dialogue and consultation between Algiers and Maputo.
These agreements reflect the shared will of the two countries to deepen their bilateral relations and to diversify their areas of strategic partnership.
As a reminder, the two heads of state had head to face before expanding the meeting to the delegations of the two countries
It should be noted that the President of the Republic reserved, as president of the Republic, an official reception for his counterpart in Mozambique, Daniel Francisco Chapo.
The ceremony began with the execution of the national hymns of the two countries, followed by a solemn greeting to the national flag, in the presence of the two heads of state.
President Tebboune and his guest then reviewed detachments from the National People’s Army which returned the honors, in an atmosphere imbued with solemnity and fraternity.
The President of the Republic of Mozambique, who pays a working visit to Algeria, on the sidelines of his participation in the 4e Edition of the intra-African trade fair (IATF 2025), previously gathered in the Martyr sanctuary in Algiers, in memory of the martyrs of the Glorious National Liberation War.
He subsequently visited the National Museum of Moudjahid, where he received explanations on the different stages of the history of Algeria, in particular that of the Glorious National Liberation War.
