In his latest issue published this Tuesday, the review El Djeich highlighted the strategic place of Algeria on the African scene, on the occasion of the holding, this week, of the 4th edition of the intra-African trade fair (IATF 2025) in Algiers. According to the editorial of the journal, this great economic meeting reflects the strong commitment of Algeria for African economic integration, within the framework of the continental African free trade area (ZLECAF), and reflects a constant political will to strengthen exchanges between African countries, for the benefit of the development and well-being of the peoples of the continent.
The journal stresses that Algeria, the third economy of the continent, aspires to position itself at the forefront of African economies in the coming years. This ambition is based, according to El Djeichon the vast economic potential of the country, its industrial and energy capacities, as well as its strategic geographic location. With a Mediterranean facade open to Europe and an African depth turned towards the Sahel and sub -Saharan Africa, Algeria is naturally called to play a role of regional crossroads, capable of anchoring its place of emerging economic power and pivot actor of continental development.

The editorial concludes that the African strategy of Algeria is based on a global, balanced and complementary approach, which combines active diplomacy, sustainable development, security cooperation and attachment to the values of sovereignty, solidarity and peace.
