Des participants des autres continents à l’IATF 2025 : L’Afrique, terre d’opportunités par excellence

In addition to the natural participation of companies from the whole African continent, many foreign companies came beyond the borders of the continent, which made the trip to Algiers, “economic capital” of Africa during the intra-African trade fair (IATF 2025). The objective is the same, that of discovering the great opportunities offered by Africa.

The 4e Edition of the IATF 2025, which ends this Wednesday, seems to hold all its promises. The companies present unanimously expressed their satisfaction as to the quality of the organization, but especially of the meetings and discussions carried out as part of this meeting, which will open new horizons for the partnership.

If several contracts have been signed between several companies, thus boosting intra-African trade, the exchanges were qualified as fruitful by the participants, also from other continents. Indeed, the IATF 2025 attracted foreign companies, in search of partnerships with their African counterparts. This is the case of Canada. A stand bringing together 11 companies, representing several activity sectors (telecommunications, maritime construction, natural health products, etc.), is erected in the Pavilion U of the Algiers Exhibition Palace. It is the sales representative at the Canada Embassy in Algeria, Edouard Huot, who provides support for these companies.

“Our role is to help and support Canadian companies to develop new international markets,” he said, stressing the great opportunity that IATF offers, that of discovering Africa and determining needs. “It is an opportunity to have access to a large number of Algerian but also African companies,” he said. Saying that Algeria is a larger trading partner in Canada in Africa, the Canadian sales representative said that the IATF has enabled Canadian companies to maintain and exchange with several members of the Algerian Economic Economic Renewal Council, with a view to “finding Algerian and African partners for our companies”.

Edouard Huot also expressed the visit of the Canada Ambassador for Africa, who presented his country’s strategy for the continent to Algerian companies, convinced that “Algeria has a fundamental role to play in the development of Africa”. In this sense, he mentioned the large number of structuring projects initiated by Algeria to connect to Africa. This official did not fail to identify the satisfaction of Canadian companies, which have been able to conduct preliminary discussions and negotiations of partnership contracts within the framework of the IATF 2025 which, according to him, is a success. The results, he said, will be visible “in six months to one year”.

IATF 2025: a fruitful edition

IATF participants also came from Europe, like Switzerland. The Beekee company, specializing in information technology, made the trip to Algeria, during the IATF 2025, qualified as successful by the manager of this company, Jacques Bogh. Presenting an innovative product, namely Beekee Box, which is a portable solution that allows digital learning in the most remote places not with the Internet or electricity, it said that this technology is already used in ten African countries.

The 4e Edition of the intra-African trade fair was fruitful according to Mr. Bogh, given the number of meetings and discussions carried out. “During the first five days, we recorded around thirty meetings per day with Algerian and African operators,” he said, saying that this event made it possible to present “our innovative product”, which can make training activities on the continent more effective. “This meeting also allowed us to discover the opportunities that Algeria offers, but also African countries,” he added. Beyond marketing, local production of this equipment can be envisaged, according to the first manager of the company, who reported the fact of having read the incentives and advantages offered by Algeria for investors.

The Middle East was also present at the IATF. Jordan was represented by fifteen companies activating in various fields. Invited by the organization responsible for export, these companies want to discover the strong potential of the continent.

According to a producer of school supplies, the Algerian and African markets are promising, signaling his interest in investment in Algeria, beyond the expensive marketing. A great interest in Algeria but also in the countries of West Africa has been expressed by the Jordanian operator.
