The messages transmitted to school must be relayed and consolidated at home, so that the child integrates these notions into his daily life. He wanted to add that this approach is part of a logic of complementarity between school, family and health institutions. It reflects the will of the public authorities to make health awareness of a shared mission, in the same way as academic education.

Declaring that “the school must be a safe, welcoming and worthy place”, it also demanded to provide the South establishments with air conditioners to protect children from extreme temperatures.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Saâdaoui stressed that the initiative to place the start of the school year under the sign of health was not a simple punctual event but a structuring stage of a sustainable educational policy. “We want to register health at the heart of the educational journey. This orientation is part of the national strategy for prevention of diseases and promotion of public health. It reflects the ambition to build a modern school, attentive to the needs of the child as a whole, and anxious to train citizens capable of facing the challenges of tomorrow. By putting the protection of students in the foreground, the State reaffirms that academic success and health well-being are inseparable.
