A showcase to promote the unique tourist potential of Algeria

The 4th edition of the intra-African trade fair (IATF- 2025), which took place at the Palais des Expositions (Algiers), constitutes a showcase on the unique tourist potential of Algeria and an opportunity to make it known on a large scale, in order to consolidate the tourist place of Algeria, on continental and international levels.
This event, through which Algeria aims to diversify its economy, is not only a space to build economic partnerships between African investors, but also extends to the tourist aspect as an important lever on which Algeria puts for its transition to a sustainable economy, freed from hydrocarbon dependence.
In a statement to the APS, the director general of the National Tourism Office (A),
Mr. Abdelhamid Ouari said that the crowds recorded during this edition of nearly 35,000 visitors and 2,000 exhibitors from various African countries, in addition to the foreign media responsible for ensuring the coverage of the event, made of the Algiers edition “an ideal opportunity to promote Algeria as a tourist destination par excellence”, through visitors to the Foire.
As part of the new strategy developed by the tourism and craft sector to highlight the tourist assets of Algeria, in particular with regard to Saharan tourism, have developed it, on the occasion of this African meeting, an integrated promotion plan aimed at introducing African brothers the tourist potential that distinguishes Algeria.
In this regard, an exhibition of craftsmanship, organized at the central pavilion of the Palais des Expositions and reflecting the great diversity that characterizes the different regions of Algeria, aroused “a lively craze of visitors”. The pavilion dedicated to tourism and crafts also recorded “a great crowd of African economic operators looking for partnership opportunities with the sector, both in terms of investment and in terms of tourism exchange”.
On this occasion, a rich program was traced to publicize the guests of Algeria several tourist sites, including tourist excursions to the Hamma test garden, in Djamaa El-Djazair, the Casbah, at the Palais des Raïs (Bastion 23), as well as to the Roman ruins of Tipasa, providing buses for this purpose.
Furthermore, shows and artistic evenings are organized to publicize the Algerian artistic and cultural heritage, according to the CEO of A have, which indicated that several members of the African delegations had expressed their intention to return to Algeria to discover other tourist places outside the capital.
