The 4th edition of the intra-African trade fair (IATF 2025) was also an opportunity for small businesses to exhibit their know-how. Specialized in various activity sectors, these microentreprises, created with the support of the National Agency for Entrepreneurship (NESDA), see large and want to make a place in the African market.
The IATF 2025 was not only a platform for large companies. Start-ups and microentreprises have also taken part in this continental event, with a view to finding a place in the African market.
This is the case with the Industrial Global Microentreprise, specialized in industrial mechanical manufacturing. Created in 2013 as part of the NESDA, this microcentreprise was able, through its participation in the continental fair, to conduct discussions with operators from several African countries, like Mali, the Ivory Coast and South Africa.
According to Amine Azizi, managing director of this microcentreprise located in the wilaya of Boumerdès, the ambition is to conquer the African markets where a great need for recycling and agricultural equipment produced by the company is expressed.
An export contract is on the way to being concluded with an operator from Côte-d’Ivoire for the export of 14 recycling and recovery machines of plastic waste and boxes, according to the details of Mr. Azizi, for whom this first operation will undoubtedly open other markets at the level of other countries, such as Libya and Tunisia.
Other microentreprises created through the NESDA have also participated in this continental economic event. According to the communications manager of the entrepreneurship support organization, Raouf Assam, participation in IATF 2025 was beneficial, mainly for young and future entrepreneurs. “We have received thousands of young people interested in entrepreneurship and the creation of microentreprise,” he said, reporting the organization of several B2Bs between Algerian microentreprises and their African counterparts.
More than six microentreprises in the field of the food industry and industry marked their presence during this event, qualifying their participation as fruitful. Several panels whose theme, among others, agricultural entrepreneurship and business creation were organized throughout this continental meeting.
