Attaf dément toute plainte du Mali contre l’Algérie devant la CIJ – Le Jeune Indépendant

The Minister of State and Minister of Algerian Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, said this Saturday that no complaint was filed by Mali against Algeria before the International Court of Justice (CIJ).

Media had reported that the Malian transitional government had seized the CIJ, accusing Algiers assault after the destruction of a Malian military drone on a recognition mission.

On April 1, Algeria announced that its forces had shot down an armed drone which had violated its airspace near the border locality of Tin Zaouatine with Mali.

At a press conference held in Algiers on Saturday, Attaf said: “There is actually no request from Mali. “He added:” If Mali had indeed introduced an international affair aimed at another state, the International Court of Justice would have notified the state concerned. We contacted the CIJ as soon as this information is published for verification, but there is absolutely nothing. »»
