In anticipation of the start of the 2025-2026 school year, the Ministry of National Education announced yesterday the upcoming opening of registrations for preschool classes and exceptional registrations in the first year this year. This is what a statement from the ministry said this Saturday.
According to the information contained in the press release, this operation will start on Sunday September 28 and will continue until Saturday October 11, 2025. This measure is part of the preparations linked to the next school year and is based on the provisions of articles 38 and 48 of the Orientation Act on National Education, said the ministry.
As the press release indicates, registrations will be done exclusively online via the Parents area accessible on the information system in the sector, to the address: https://awlya.education.dz. The ministry alerted: “Any registration made outside the information system is considered zero and without effect. »»
Regarding the preschool classes, the operation affects children born between January 1 and December 31, 2020. The ministry said that “all requests will be accepted without exception, as part of the generalization of preschool education”. Parents can choose between one to five primary schools with preschool classes, or a single establishment if it is a private school, still according to the same source.
The system also provides for exceptional registrations in the first primary year, which concern children born between January 1 and March 31, 2020. According to the ministry details, parents who make a request for preschool can “express their wish for an exceptional registration in the first primary year”, with the possibility of choosing a single primary, public or private school, with educational places.
These requests, said the ministry, will be processed automatically by the information system, based on predefined criteria. “If no educational place is available, the child will be systematically registered in preschool class in one of the schools chosen by his parents,” said the press release.
The results of this automatic processing will be made public Tuesday, October 14, 2025. According to the ministry, they will be available via the parents’ personal account on the parent space, but also displayed in the primary schools concerned and in private establishments.
Children whose requests will be accepted will join their schools from Wednesday October 15, 2025, whether in preschool or in the first year. However, the ministry noted that “an exceptional registration in the first primary year would be canceled if the child does not reach his establishment within a maximum of one month from the date of the announcement of the results”.
