Algeria Venture announced the launch of the new edition of the Algerian Startup Learning Expedition Program (ASEP), which will be held this year in Japan. Registrations for interested Algerian start-ups and incubators are now open. Presented as a real catalyst for change, this program aims to propel young Algerian companies on the international scene by immersing them at the heart of the most efficient innovation ecosystems. ASEP promises its participants 15 days of intensive experiences and exchanges, with a program cut for inspiration and opening. This was indicated yesterday a press release from Algeria Venture. The program planned for the next edition of the ASEP is quite rich. It is specified, according to the same source, that young entrepreneurs selected will benefit from privileged access to pioneering institutions, to meetings with sector leaders, just as they will discover advanced technologies. The objective is to “weave strategic connections, stimulate creativity and, also, to be inspired by best practices to transform Algerian start-ups into a global success stories”. This system aims to accelerate the growth and international competitiveness of Algerian start-ups. By allowing them to evolve in environments where innovation is at the center, ASEP opens the way to young startupers in order to develop skills and expand its network internationally, immerse themselves in ecosystems recognized for their economic and technological dynamism, or even benefit from meetings of experts, interactive workshops and networking sessions, is it underlined in the same text. As a reminder, in 2024, more than 260 Algerian startups had already participated in the program during an international trip to South Korea, China and the United States, where they were able to explore global poles of innovation and identify new growth opportunities. With this new edition in Japan, Algeria Venture hopes to further strengthen bilateral exchanges and inspire a new generation of Algerian entrepreneurs. The objective is to create lasting bridges between the two ecosystems and to allow Algerian startups to soak up the Japanese experience in terms of innovation and competitiveness. Algeria’s interest in start-ups was demonstrated last Tuesday, during the intra-African trade fair which lasted a week in Algiers. On this occasion, the President of the Republic, had decided to create a financing fund for start-ups and young Algerian innovatives, but also for young innovative projects on an African scale, at the level of the Algerian Agency for International Cooperation for Solidarity and Development (AACISD). A decision that had been widely welcomed. Among the objectives of this fund, there is “the empowerment of young people and the promotion of innovation in Africa, in accordance with the content of the President of the Republic” during the opening of the continental event. It should be noted that Algeria plans to organize, next December, an African Conference of Start-ups, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic. A real catalyst for change.
