The Front of Socialist Forces (FFS) organized, the day before yesterday in Algiers, a national meeting on the modernization of the Algerian school, entitled ” for a modern school at the service of knowledge and progress ”.
Experts in the field of education, trade unionists, teachers and committed actors in the educational world took part in this meeting which took place at the party’s headquarters.
In a speech pronounced at the opening of this meeting, the first national secretary of the party, Youcef Aouchiche, emphasized the need to modernize the education system to deal with the immense challenges of globalization, the digital transition, the technological revolution and economic and social changes.
He underlined the role devolved to the school of “Creuset of the Algerian personality”, through “the teaching of the multi -millennial history of Algeria and the transmission of our heritage to future generations” affirming that “the future of Algeria is played today, in large part, in its schools”. Aouchiche highlighted the importance of making schools “spaces of knowledge, learning, exercise of citizenship and fulfillment”, through the formation of “a competent, qualified and polyglot youth, capable of easily inserting into the national and international labor markets, and to contribute to the development and prosperity of the country”.
