President Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired, yesterday, a Council of Ministers, during which, he first welcomed the new government and wished him full success in his noble mission. He also underlined the need to place citizens and their concerns at the heart of action plans in order to achieve lasting and definitive solutions.
The President of the Republic has instructed the government to focus on carrying out the tasks assigned to it with the greatest seriousness. He explained that Algeria is not governed by austerity, but by intelligent management, which is at the heart of the presidential project, which aims to position Algeria among emerging countries by achieving quality social and economic development. The President of the Republic has managed the government team to coordinate at first with the Prime Minister, a key mallon of government work.
Following the first directives given to the new government, the President of the Republic ordered the development of sectoral proposals and action plans which will be presented during the next councils of ministers.
The Council of Ministers concluded by approving decisions, in particular appointments and revocations to important state positions and functions. As a reminder, Sunday, September 14, President Tebboune proceeded to the appointment of members of the government led by the Prime Minister, Sifi Ghrieb, who had been confirmed in his post earlier during the day. Thus, the new government team, announced by the spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, Samir Aggoune, includes the portfolio of the Inspectorate of State and Local Communities, which has never existed in any Algerian government. Other novelties: a change has affected the portfolio of Mohamed Arkab, who became Minister of State, Minister of Hydrocarbons and Mines, in place of Minister of State for Energy, Mines and Renewable Energies, and it is Mohamed Adjal, former CEO of the Sonelgaz group, new minister, who is entrusted with the newly created ministry in charge of Energy and Energy and Energy renewable.
