The 3rd evening of the 13th Malouf International Cultural Festival, organized at the Mohamed Taher Fergani regional theater in Constantine, was marked by an enchanting musical parenthesis carried by members of the Arabian troop Band of Turkey, who came to spread the richness and diversity of the musical heritage of this country where the Ottoman past still irrigates artistic creation. The Turkish musicians charmed the public by the refined interpretation of several emblematic Maqam beginners with a captivating Maqam Mahur, before taking the audience in the emotional depths of Maqam Hidjaz and the Kurd Maqam, and then rocked the public with the majestic sweetness of Maqam El Bayati. The interpretation of Mouwachah Lama Bada Yatathana in Maqam Nahawand, especially the passage Kadoka El Mayass Ya Omri, was one of the highlights and the most ovationed of the evening, it was like an old breath from the golden ages and which capsized the public, moved by so much refinement. In a beautiful artistic continuity, the singer Fayçal Kahiya of Annaba has unrolled extracts from Malouf, like a gold thread woven between tradition and emotion singing among others “Ya Nas Ma Taâdirouni” to the delight of the public who also fell for the performance of Fawzi Abdenour who offered the Nouba Rémel El Kébir, one of the traditional Nouba of Malouf Constantinis Complex structure and its refined modulations and often reserved for important moments of a concert or a festival. The Libyan Intissar Attia dressed in the traditional habit of her country “El Badla El Kebira” presented a Malouf music show and sang “Kalbi Yahwa” and “Ahl El Hima ‘” in the genre El Mazmoum.
