The first edition of the Professional Fair for Training and Modern Trades “Formatech Expo” will be held from October 6 to 9 at the SAFEX exhibitions (Algiers). A professional meeting placed under the high patronage of several ministries which will bring together public decision-makers, business leaders, HR managers and experts and start-ups around a common ambition, namely the acceleration of digitalization and support the skills rise.
Thought as a showcase of solutions for the future, the fair is placed under the theme “Train to innovate, innovate to transform”. This event intends to position the training, management and ERP/CRM solutions as strategic competitiveness and innovation levers for Algerian companies, the organizers said yesterday at a press conference.
With more than 100 exhibitors and more than 10,000 professional visitors from various sectors, Formatech Expo promises an immersion in technologies and practices that shape the trades of tomorrow, the organizers say.
The program highlights several segments around the main theme, namely leadership and management by quality, Algerian female success stories, ERP and modern management solutions, modern and emerging trades, skills transformation in the face of automation, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
The event will also offer high -level panels, interactive workshops for organizations, in addition to the “Formatech innovators” competition dedicated to talents and local initiatives, as well as B2B networking spaces via the B2B LAB application, according to the details of the organizers. The competition, organized on the sidelines of the show, highlights the transformation of training, with a focus on digitalization and gamification as levers for the future of education and the development of skills. According to the organizers, 12 projects were selected on 60 applications, it was added.
As a participant and sponsors of the event, Algeria Télécom will occasionally offer free broadband WiFi access throughout the event and will present its centers skills, already inaugurated in several wilayas. In addition, a workshop on female leadership will also be organized as part of Pink October, stressing the importance of promoting women in the trades of tomorrow.
Beyond Algeria, Formatech Expo is a digital transformation catalyst on a regional and continental scale. “This is an innovation platform carried out by major training, employability and sustainability issues,” said the organizing team. An expansion to several African countries is also scheduled for 2026.
