The Minister of Industry, Yahia Bachir, instructed the public group Divindus to accelerate the finalization of its central management digitalization project before the end of 2025. This directive was given during a working meeting held with the group’s managers, in the presence of the CEO and central managers of the sector. This was stated in a press release from the ministry.
This meeting, which was held on Tuesday, made it possible to draw up a complete inventory of the current situation of Divindus, through the presentation of the main industrial performance indicators, current projects as well as the difficulties encountered by the various subsidiaries and production units.
As part of the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at generalizing digitalization in public management to strengthen transparency and administrative efficiency, Mr. Bachir insisted on the need to complete this strategic project within the set deadlines.
The minister also requested the development of an in-depth and comprehensive study covering all of the group’s subsidiaries and units. The objective is to identify existing gaps and propose realistic and scientifically based solutions to improve performance and increase productivity. Divindus is one of the largest public industrial groups in Algeria, with more than 15,000 employees spread across the national territory.
The discussions also focused on the flagship activities of the group, which operates in six sectors of production and industrial processing. It has 14 subsidiaries bringing together nearly 140 units across the country, in addition to activities in distribution, services and the building and public works (BTPH) sector. Its products cover a wide range of manufacturing and construction industries, helping to satisfy domestic market needs and strengthen the industrial value chain.
In addition, Mr. Bachir stressed the importance of strengthening coordination between ministry executives and those of the group in order to support Divindus in achieving its development objectives. He recalled that the priority is to fully integrate the group into the national industrial fabric and consolidate its contribution to GDP growth and the country’s industrial take-off.
