The Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Sid Ali Zerrouki, announced last Thursday in Algiers that the Algeria Post (AP) recruitment competition “will be organized before the end of October”. During a plenary session of the Council of the Nation, chaired by
Mr. Azouz Nasri, in the presence of the Minister of Relations with Parliament, Ms. Nadjiba Djilali, devoted to oral questions to several members of the Government, Mr. Zerrouki specified that the Algérie Poste recruitment competition “will be organized before the end of this month (October)”, adding that “all the conditions have been met to organize a competition to the required standards”.
To a question on the coverage of the mobile telephone network of certain roads in the South of the country, the minister affirmed that “the coverage of the fixed and mobile telephone network is among the priorities of the sector within the framework of the road map resulting from the high guidelines of the President of the Republic,
Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
In this regard, he mentioned the holding of “several periodic evaluation meetings with mobile telephone operators, in order to monitor the progress made in the area of road coverage, as an economic lever facilitating travel and transactions, a social factor favoring the establishment of contacts and the interconnection of regions, and a means of protecting citizens”.
Responding to a question relating to union action in the sector, Mr. Zerrouki underlined the importance of “consecrating the culture of social dialogue and protecting the professional rights of civil servants and workers, in accordance with the Algerian Constitution”, adding that companies in the sector “take care to ensure the necessary conditions for the creation of unions at their level, as they constitute a practical tool to strengthen dialogue in the management of labor relations and support social stability”.
