“Today we need a responsible generation”

The president of the El Moustakbal Front, Fateh Boutbig, estimated that Algeria is facing a new stage, which requires the mobilization of all in a surge of “sincere and strong patriotism”. During a meeting at the Djilali-Bounaâma hall in Blida, on the occasion of the commemoration of the events of October 17, 1961, the official stressed that Algeria remained faithful to the messages of the martyrs by resolutely moving forward in its quest for development and construction. “Algeria will remain strong and proud thanks to the cohesion of its people and its institutions. Algeria today is governed by determination,” he insisted in a speech to his activists. For Boutbig, the current stage requires everyone’s efforts. “Today we need a responsible generation, a youth who follows in the footsteps of those who liberated the country from the colonial yoke,” he stressed. And to recall that on October 17, 1961, the Algerians gave the greatest example of sacrifice, that of national cohesion. “We must remain on this principle. The question of loyalty to the country is not a subsidiary question nor honeyed words but a national conviction,” launched Boutbig.
