According to reports, the assaulted women were merely trying to retrieve a bottle of gasoline they were carrying to sell in order to meet their daily needs. There was no act of disrespect or wrongdoing on their part.

This incident is part of a series of recent reports documenting acts of violence committed by the IRGC against kolbars (border porters), fuel carriers, women, and children in Balochistan- raising concerns that high-level institutions may be supporting those responsible for such abuses.
