JS Kabylie, one of the two Algerian representatives in the African Football Champions League, validated its ticket for the group stage of the event, beating the Tunisians US Monastir 2-1 (half-time: 1-1), Saturday at the Hocine Aït-Ahmed stadium in Tizi-Ouzou, counting for the 2nd preliminary round (return).
Carried by a big crowd, the “Canaries” opened the scoring in the 8th minute of play thanks to Akhrib, taking advantage of a deep pass from Messaoudi, who would give way to Mahious later, due to injury.
The Tunisian reaction was quick to come. The USM managed to equalize less than a quarter of an hour later, on a header from Chikhaoui (22nd), after a moment of deconcentration from the JSk defense.
In the second half, the “Canaries” scored the winning goal in added time, thanks to Akhrib, who scored twice (90th + 3).
