JUST IN: IDF forces in Gaza have taken possession of a casket believed to contain the body of an Israeli hostage, after it was handed over to the Red Cross by Hamas in Gaza City.

The military will now examine the remains before placing an Israeli flag over the casket and conducting a brief ceremony with a military rabbi. The body will then be transported to the Abu Kabir forensic institute in Tel Aviv for official identification.
