Speaking during a working and coordination meeting, the Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security Mr. Abdelhak Saihi emphasized the need to consider citizen service as an absolute priority in the sector’s work program.
During a working and coordination session, which he chaired at the ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of all central administration executives, Mr. Saihi also underlined that these periodic meetings were part of “a methodical approach aimed at monitoring the implementation of the main activities and achievements of the sector for the benefit of citizens, and to examine urgent issues requiring the combination of all efforts, with a view to providing concrete solutions and effective, and thus ensure better coordination between the structures of the sector,” specifies the same source.
After listening to presentations presented by sector executives on the level of execution of the various programs and measures taken for the processing of files under the ministry, the minister gave a set of instructions and guidelines on “the need to consider citizen service as an absolute priority in the sector’s work program.”
Mr. Saihi also emphasized “the need to strengthen coordination between the different central and local structures in order to ensure an immediate response to citizens’ concerns”, and “to monitor the activities of the organizations under supervision, with the obligation for all services to ensure the quality of reception and the rapid and efficient handling of files”, in addition to “the establishment of mechanisms for evaluation and regular monitoring of performance with a view to guarantee the efficiency of public service. He also insisted on “the need to accelerate the digitalization of all services intended for citizens and the complete transition to electronic services to reduce unnecessary travel by citizens, through the expansion of remote services”, calling on executives to “coordinate efforts with other ministerial sectors for the interoperability of digital platforms and the instant exchange of data”.
Furthermore, the minister highlighted the need for “rigorous monitoring of the processing of jobseekers’ files, while ensuring the acceleration of procedures and the strengthening of mediation between young people and economic companies.” In this regard, he called on executives to “intensify field and local meetings with economic companies, in order to identify available job offers and to allow young people to access positions adapted to their qualifications and fields, with a view to strengthening the economic dynamics of the country”.
Regarding international cooperation, Mr. Saihi gave “firm directives to accelerate the strengthening of bilateral cooperation with the Slovenian Rehabilitation Center, taking into account its great expertise. Moncef Redha
