The international competition of the Chinese giant Huawei, dedicated to students from all over the world, returns for a new edition. Huawei ICT Competition 2025/2026 opens its registrations in Algeria, offering a new opportunity for young talents from universities and colleges in the country to compete with the best digital minds on a global scale.

Registrations for this prestigious competition began this week and will continue until December 15, 2025, said a press release made public this Tuesday by Huawei Algeria.

Algerian students wishing to participate can register via the official Huawei ICT Academy website. This edition will highlight three key areas of information technology: Cloud, Network and Computing, with also tests devoted to teaching and innovation.

Designed to stimulate participants’ practical and theoretical skills, the Huawei ICT Competition allows students to develop their know-how in the most advanced technologies, while preparing for an international career in the digital field.

The Algerian teams, recalls the press release, have shone several times during previous editions. Over the past six years, students from major institutions such as USTHB, ESI Algiers, ESI Sidi Bel Abbès, ENTICP and ENTICT have won several international prizes, illustrating the quality of training and the level of excellence achieved by the country’s young talents.

In Algeria, the event is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, two institutional partners that support the promotion of national digital skills.

Launched in 2015, the Huawei ICT Competition has established itself as one of the largest global competitions dedicated to information and communication technologies. It provides an international platform for exchange and competition for students and teachers, promoting creativity, collaboration and innovation.

Recognized by the UNESCO Global Skills Academy, the competition has become a flagship program for the training and development of young digital talents.

In China, it is ranked among the national benchmark competitions for university students. On an international scale, each year it attracts a growing number of participants from dozens of countries, confirming its role as a true incubator of technological skills.
