The IDF says it has received two caskets believed to contain the bodies of Israeli hostages from the Red Cross in the Gaza Strip.
According to the military, the caskets were transferred to Israeli forces after being collected from Hamas in central Gaza. IDF personnel will first examine the caskets, after which they will be covered with Israeli flags for a brief military ceremony led by an army rabbi.
The remains are expected to be transferred to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute in Tel Aviv for formal identification.
